Artistic Toners are progressive, cream-based toners, meaning the longer they process, the deeper the tone becomes. This allows for full control over the final result, making them perfect for bleach and tone services as well as grey blending techniques. These are different to the non-progressive, liquid-base nature of Gloss Toners.

Artistic Toners are alkaline, so they gently lift the hair while toning, eliminating unwanted warmth, unevenness, or banding from the lightening process. This also means they last longer. Available in three core shades, Cool Blonde, Silver, and Violet, you can use them individually or mix them to create custom tones. Whether you are neutralizing yellow tones or creating the perfect metallic finish, these toners provide ultimate versatility.

Formulated with the same bond-building complex as found in Gloss Toners to strengthen the hair during the toning process. Nourishing ingredients like aloe vera, jojoba oil and chia oil help hydrate and protect colour from fading.

Instructions:
In a non-metallic bowl or bottle, mix 1:2 – 1:3 Artistic Toner and developer. For best results, mix only with Deluxe Cream Developer 5 Volume (1.5%). Process for 5-10 minutes for softer deposit, or 10-20 for deeper deposit. Shampoo and rinse thoroughy.

Yes, you can mix Artistic Toner colours together to make different tones.

No. Artistic Toners have an alkaline pH and Gloss Toners have an acidic pH. This means the two different pH’s are not compatible and can have negative results if mixed together. Only mix Artistic Toner colours together for custom colour creations.

No. If you also use Danger Jones semi-permanent colours, tone with Artistic Toner first, shampoo, and then apply the semi-permanent colour.

Progressive colour means the longer you leave the colour on the hair, the deeper the tone will be. For example, if you let it process for 5 minutes, it will be a lighter tone than if you let it process for 20 minutes.

The standard mixing ratio is 1 part Artistic Toner to 2 parts 5 volume (1.5%) Deluxe Cream Developer. If you prefer a softer colour deposit, you could change the ratio to 1:3. You’re in control.

We don’t recommend it. Artistic Toners were designed to be mixed with the dedicated 5 volume (1.5%) Deluxe Cream Developer to give the best consistency, application and colour deposit.

Yes, since the Artistic Toners are oxidative, you shampoo them out.

Yes, they have an alkaline pH. This helps to create a progressive colour deposit to give artists total control over the shade and depth of the end result. The alkaline pH also aids in colour longevity and evening out any banding in the hair.
